Seven Rivers Christian School: Warrior Park

srcs-1Founded in 1988, Seven Rivers Christian School is a PreK-12 college-preparatory school serving over 500 students. SRCS provides a robust academic program in an environment where the reformed Christian faith forms the foundation for all learning. SRCS’s vision is to produce graduates who are passionate about God and His Church and who are equipped to thrive in higher education, create healthy families, and bring the joy and peace of the gospel to a broken world. One aspect of the school that is very important to both the staff and the students is the SCRS athletics program.

Every level of the SRCS athletic program, from developmental middle school teams to the intensely competitive high school varsity teams, operates with the intention of complementing and fulfilling the school’s mission. Athletics provide an opportunity to grow in godly character, and each team member, from the starter to the team manager, will be challenged to demonstrate the core values for an SCRS student. Some of the sports that SRCS provides include football, cross country, soccer, softball, baseball and track & field. Until recently the school did not have a formal athletic facility for their outside sports such as football and soccer.

srcs-2In 2015, U.S. Family Foundation’s board of directors voted to assist SRCS in the construction of this facility, known as Warrior Park, with a contribution of $17,750. The facility will host football, cross country, soccer, baseball and softball competitions. The donation was used to buy a field striping machine, 16 field benches with backs and shelving, 2 Trigon pro-cage portable soccer goals and baseball/softball field curtains.

Warrior Park was officially opened on Friday, August 14, 2015. You can see the amazing facility yourself at 4878 W Southern Street, Lecanto, FL. The facility is located just over a mile away from the main campus. The Warrior Park is the perfect place for the entire family to gather and cheer the teams on to victory. The facility also boosts a state-of-the-art field house, coaches’ offices, and a boys and girls locker room. Additionally, you will find a concession stand and a playground for smaller children.
